Letters from Soldiers

At Military Moms of Texas, our number one priority is our soldiers and to show our love and appreciation for their sacrifices. Because of them, we are able to enjoy the freedoms of America.

Below are some of the letters we frequently receive from deployed soldiers:

Dearest Tracey and all the Military Moms of Texas,
My name is Ethan J. I am 20 years old and I am in the United States Army Reserve stationed out of Hays, Kansas. I may not wear the uniform every day due to college but I still wear the uniform. I have spoken to Tracey quite a few times and she has told me the view and Mission of the organization. I would like to take a brief moment and let you ladies know how much I appreciate you. I have not been to war yet but I am sure I will be going soon. I know because of you I will not be forgotten. Thank you. While the media focuses on the death and destruction of war, I am glad to know there is still some at home that support me and my brothers and sisters in arms. Each one of you make a huge difference in our lives, in our morale. I have many BB overseas right now and they all say they are very thankful for your support and for your gifts. It is Americans like you that drive them on. When they get that gift basket or that calling card, what a feeling that overcomes them! We love you all. You are strong. you keep us strong. It is you that we would gladly lie our life down for. Stay strong. Stay proud and keep pushing on. you are our Heros, our Angels. Thank you. We love you.

Ma’am,
I am the chaplain of a Special Operation Unit located at a remote base in Afghanistan.  I was hoping that you would be able to assist me in providing my guys with some DVDs and gift certificates.  I think your organization is simply amazing and means a lot to me to know that there are people like yourself and your organization that will stand behind us.

Thanks and God Bless,
Chaplain (CPT) Hofman

Deployed Night Out Recipient

Hello Ma’am,
First, please allow me to Thank You for your support of Soldiers everywhere! Mariah and I greatly appreciated being able to attend the Dierks Bentley concert in Austin last week. More importantly, I know Soldiers everywhere greatly appreciate the support of Patriot’s such as yourself and those who represent your organization. Having just gotten back from Iraq 3 weeks ago,
I really have a place in my heart for those who support our Soldiers and our Family members while we are deployed.

I recently returned from a deployment to Baghdad, Iraq in July 10. We were in Iraq from Dec 09 to Jul 10 conducting Detention Operations (we ran a prison). I work full time for the Texas Army National Guard. Mariah is a stay at home Mom for our 4 Children.

Thank You again.
1LT Chris S.
