Upcoming Events in 2011
- November 12, 2011 – Veteran’s Appreciation Day – Save the date for fun and surprises for the whole family!!! MMOT will be partnering with Cowboy Harley to show appreciation for our Veterans and active duty. Live music from the band Gravity Feed, an appearance from the Austin Toros Capital City Dancers, and fun activities including a balloon artist, face painter, bounce house, kids table to create pictures/cards for our troops, and more! - December 11, 2011 – Operation Green Santa – An MMOT holiday program that supports our deployed troops and their families with gifts, care packages, as well as toys and resources for their families left behind. For this holiday program we collect gifts, essential items, toys and monetary donations throughout the year.
- Seats for Soldiers – We are asking each and every one of you to help us Fill The Seats for the Austin Torros Military Appreciation game on March 31, 2012. Click here for more information on how you can help.
Ongoing
- Members meetings every 1st Wednesday of the month from 5-7pm. Located at Waterloo Ice House off Parmer Ln in Avery Ranch. For a map, click here. All dads, wives, husbands, brothers, sisters, friends, everyone is welcome. MMOT isn’t just for moms. For more information email info@militarymomsoftexas.org.
- Package collections are ongoing. Due to the holidays, we are in need of rebuilding our deployment package supplies and monetary donations. For a list of collection items, click here. Monetary Donations are the biggest need to cover shipping costs.Donations are accepted at the following locations:
- Dallas/Fort Worth – Cross Creek Apartments in Grapevine, Busy Body locations
- Round Rock – Brushy Creek Recreation Center
- Austin - Fitness In Motion and Fitness HQ
- San Antonio – Fitness In Motion and Fitness HQ
- Deployed Night Out, a program that accepts gift certificate donations to restaurants, movie theaters, and other entertainment venues for troops to use during R&R or after returning from deployment.
- MMOT partners with Heroes Night Out to support our veterans and wounded warriors.
