Thank you for your interest in supporting our troops! It is the generosity of people just like you that make Military Moms of Texas a success. Here, you will find a list of upcoming events and volunteer opportunities.

Upcoming Events and Volunteer Opportunities

  • September 9 (8:30am) to September 12 (1:30pm) – Patriot Guard Riders National Gathering of the Guards 2010; Location: Killeen Activities Center, 3201 South WS Young Drive, Killeen, Texas 76542. For more information, click here.
  • September 25, 11am-6pm – Hairy Man Festival – The Hairy Man Festival has been an annual event since 1994. It is a family-oriented festival that has raised between $20-35,000 each year in nonperishable food and cash donations. These donations benefit four local food pantries and charities serving Williamson County, north rural Travis County, and the Hill Country. The festival includes an arts and crafts area, artisans, local government and community groups, charitable organizations  that raise funds through dozens of food and games booths. Judged by local community leaders, the festival closes out with the legendary ‘Hairiest Man’ contest; 8600 O’Connor Rd, Round Rock, Texas 78681 (on O’Connor, off RR620 between I-35 and Parmer)
  • November 6th 5pm-11pm 1st Annual MMOT Green Santa Benefit Concert, location TBD, join us in a concert series, auction, and night of military appreciation for the entire area. This event will support our holiday shipment of care packages, Christmas trees  and stocking filled with toys for the children of deployed soldiers. Care Package collections are ongoing. Ongoing in 2010

  • Deployed Night Out, a program that accepts gift certificate donations to restaurants, movie theaters, and other entertainment venues, for Soldiers to use during R&R.

  • MMOT has support groups that meet the 3rd Saturday of each month.
  • MMOT partners with Heroes Night Out for Wounded Warriors
